The Boys of Summer. Check it out. I just finished reading it.
Which makes about 5-7 complete books I've read in their entirity in my lifetime. Four of those were sports related. Two baseball related.
This one is better than Moneyball and close to Friday Night Lights, if not better.

Boys of Summer was great. The movie is just as good.
Here's a few of my favorites:
1. Reggie Jackson autobiography 2. Hey Wait a Minute, I Wrote a Book! - John Madden 3. Tom Landry's autobiography 4. Anything by George Will 5. I Never Played the Game - Howard Cosell 6. Ball Four by Jim Bouton 7. Anything by Dan Jenkins 8. Anything by Frank Deford 9. Paper Lion by George Plimpton - never read the book but a great movie 10. Shoeless Joe by WP Kinsella 11. Stud! - Don't remember the author but it was a fascinating book about the breeding of thoroughbreds.
In no particular order.
I could probably think of some others if I think about it.

I have read a bunch of good ones.
The best one I have read, though (you won't believe this) is: Taking the Purple to Pasadena by Gary Barnett
Its from when he was at Northwestern. Dang good read.
Jon Gruden's book is good I have read two Tom Osborn books and they are pretty solid. Bobby Bowden's is alright. Mike Shannahan's is excellent
I read a baseball one this summer that was really good... a novel. I just can't think of the name. It was new this year. About a manager who has to decide what to do when he sees his star player abuse a girl.
You can't beat Tough to Tackle or The Kid Who Only Hit Homers by Matt Christopher
