The point about respect fails to mention that TCU was ahead of BSU the previous two weeks coming into the weekend...so how does that help your argument?

it helps the argument by giving them a little benefit of the doubt, meaning, they lost to a team that was about the same level as them, and pollsters thought they were right about where they should be in the polls (maybe slightly overranked). TCU is overrated.

I don't think Boise is a top 25 team either by the way. I just think their drop isn't as far because of what they have done and where they were previously ranked.

So...what you're saying is that TCU should have scheduled say...Colorado or Kansas instead of Texas???
But TCU was previously ranked higher. I just can't see your justification.
So, tell me what your excuses for Texas would have been had they lost.

If Texas loses that game, they drop to somewhere around 16-20.

first, I never said that tcu should have scheduled anyone...I could care less.
second, I NEVER make excuses for texas.
I just said that tcu needs a good win or two before they start shouting about how they are underrated. Boise at least has some big wins to hang their hats on lately (I know they were last year, but any poll this early is based mostly on last year).
Anyways, I said I don't think they should be ranked either, but that is the reason they receive more votes...they aren't looked at as some team that just talks a lot...they have done it.

Well, everyone likes to make excuses for the teams TCU beats...so I figured you'd have one ready...

you mean for those tough Mountain west foes, and the doormat of the big 12? Who made excuses for them?
I have never seen any one school that has done so little that complains so much. Not saying they are a bad team, they just aren't in the upper echelon of college football. (sadly, neither are my ags. Of course, we don't blame the pollsters or anyone but ourselves for that).

So, why are you upset? You got votes and Boise St. didn't. You fell that far because you were exposed.

Exposed as what? A team that couldn't beat the #7 team in the nation on the road? Well, in that case, there are about 113 teams that would be exposed if they played Texas.

NTSU is 114 or so in the standings. I'm not upset.

And that's where they belong.
I just don't understand why they are being penalized for losing to a top 10 team on the road. I could understand if this was their 2nd or 3rd loss but its only the second game of the season. Why did people put them in the top 25 in the first place? If they are not a top 25 team after losing to Texas then they shouldn't have been in before the season and after beating Baylor. Its just convoluted logic.

Well, if they're that good, they'll make it back.
However, with that schedule, you may have to wait til the BYU weekend to find out.

You guys must have been thinking BCS with the schedule you had. I can understand why you're upset after that loss.
