We'll make a big swing during this series. We can take two more from those guys. Tejeda needs to get his head out of his ass tonight.

Check out MLB Rumors . com. it's a good site. There's a good article/interview w/ Bill James (baseball genius) posted.

Oh yeah, add Wilkerson too. The guy made a hell of a catch last night in left, but if he wasn't so damn slow, it would have been a routine fly out.

I say trade Tex, move this generations Dave Kingman minus the homeruns to first, go after Tori Hunter in the offseason, let Nellie Cruz get his job back next year and move Marlon Byrd to left.
Wow, would that be the first all-black outfied since Oddibbe, George Wright, and Gary Ward?

Now only 2.5 back from Oak. I am starting to believe..... That the Rangers might not finish in last place.

Well, I guess we can wish. I am pumped about the sudden turn around, but the way the first half of the season went makes it hard for me to believe they can keep it up, and even then, if they want to stay in the running, there will have to be some serious slumps further up in the division and/or the league. I think they are 12 games back from the wild card right now, does that sound right?

I just think that...yeah.
At this point, I'm just happy with good fundamental baseball. The teams since 99 have been just maddening. Stupid personel decisions, stupid coaching decisions, stupid field of play decisions. The first two may still be there but they are doing things right on the field. Stealing bases, bunting runners over, hitting flyballs with runners at third, pitching smart (except for last night).
