I'll pack his bags. I like the guy but this is a youth movement.

Lofton has been big for us this year in replacing Matthews. Our outfield sucks, so we need to hang on to him for now.

But he's not coming back next year. Why hold on to him just to finish .500?

Dear Jon Daniels,
Trade these guys now! Lofton, Texiera, and Gagne. They are at max value now and will bring the most in return. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS .500 STUFF!
thank you, the realistic Ranger fan

I seriously think that if they trade Gagne, they have a realistic chance of resigning him next year.

Trade Aki, too. We can move CJ Wilson to a closer spot. Aki and Gange may get some much needed middle of the lineup power, preferably an outfielder. Or even another starter in the rotation with some quality. The starting pitcher market is shit right now though. Plus, ours is starting to come around slowly. We should wait til something better comes available.

Honestly, it's a buyer's market and sellers won't get shit. I think they should unload these guys but I don't expect much in return.

Bring in some big time prospects that have a shot to be productive in the bigs next year, and I'll be happy.

They don't have any big time prospects and they probably won't get any in trades either.

Man, it sucks that it took this bunch too long to get their stuff together. This is one of the best stretches of baseball this area has ever seen. Their only bad loss the last 4 weeks was to LAA on Saturday.

I know... we're seeing some good baseball for the time being. Maybe we'll at least crawl out of last place before it's all said and done.
