really, we need more than 7 a month. playing every fri. and sat. should be a minimum for a professional band in our genre. but it is a good step back in the right direction from our extended break from consistent booking.

How come you play Amarillo/Denton one weekend and Lubbock/Fort Worth the next weekend? Wouldn't you make more $$$ by playing it Denton/FW then Amarillo/Lubbock? Seems like you'd save lots on travel expenses. Plus it would not be such a whip.

Yeah, that would make sense....but you gotta take what they give you. Especially in places like the White Elephant or Jake's where they book pretty far out. Actually, Golden Light books far out too.

I meant you really do have to take what they give you. You book a show in lubbock 3 months out and then call amarillo and say 'hey, can we have the night after?' and they say 'it's booked, but how about the next weekend?'
Then you can either take the gig even though it kind of sucks, or turn it down like a pansy. Or like Sully.
