Well, I just wanted to let you know about the shameless promoting I did for the band Saturday night. Mike and I went out to a club downtown for drinks and booty shakin. While we were walking down the sidewalk a television interview was taking place. I stopped to ask the girl what they were doing. She said they were from Fort Worth T.V. and they were doing a youth show about music. She asked if she could interview me. I agreed. When she asked me what kind of music I like to listen to, I told her...you guessed it...Rodney Parker!!!! That's right, I just put your name out on the T.V. The interview is supposed to be on two Saturdays from now. We think the show is called Music Scene & we think it's on Fort Worth cable channel 31. After that we went down to the Ranch and stood in front of the window at 1:30 in the morning with a sign saying please play Rodney Parker. They said yes. I don't know if they ever did. We went home & couldn't get good reception.

Let me stress 2 points:
1) Any booty shakin that was done was done by mikeswife. I do not booty shake, much to the relief of everyone on the dance floor.
2) 95.9 the Ranch's radio signal sucks. If the DJ that told us he would play RP didn't play it...then he sucks too.

As far as I know, they've never played the Pesos. I talked to on girl who is a DJ there and she'd never heard of them. I get it good in Keller but there are other places not too far from the studio that you can barely even hear it.

I can pick it fairly well in my truck, but once I get inside you can forget it. We tried calling the dj after we got home but the line was always busy. It would have been funny as mikeswife was a little intoxicated and pissed about not hearing the Pesos on the way home.
**Note** We did not have our CD with us at the time.

I can't get that station anywhere.
We have given them a ton of cds. Our distributor has given them a ton of cds. I think that they said that it was a little too edgy for their current format. I think they might change their mind soon, especially if people keep bugging them about it. They play a lot of locals on that station that have been around for a shorter time than us and whose records aren't really there yet. I think that when the new record comes out their interest in us will be renewed.

But then when the guys played there opening up for Ely Young Band they didn't even get a spare mention. I added Friday's show to Galleywinter.com's concert calendar last week. |
