Hey Guys, If any of you are ever bored and at your computer, which you obviously are, go to www.959theranch.com - they have a spot on every page where you can request a song. It is really easy, you don't have to give your email address or anything, just the artist/song title and your first name. So go there and request Rodney Parker as much as you can. Right now would be a good time to do it, since we are one of the top names at their Red Dirt Round up party Saturday.

Good idea. Also, The Ranch has another station that broadcasts to Ennis, Sulpher Springs, and Greenville. I think their site is www.1069theranch.com or something. If not, just google 106.9 the Ranch. It's exactly the same format.

Everyone, get on board. It doesn't take much effort at all, so each time you login to the board, click the link and request a song. Do IT!

Well Brooks, funny you should mention that. I get a stream of the Ranch on my laptop at work. I have been requesting RP50PR for awhile. They never play. I have actually written a request to each on air personality. They never play. However, today I received a personal email from the program director. I had emailed him telling him that I thought they should play some peso music since they are advertising them for the Round Up Pre-Party. He has asked me what specifically I would like to hear. So looks like the door has finally popped open. I intend to stay in contact with them. I offered to send him my own CD if he didn't have one and I offered to buy him lunch. We will see what happens.

I told him any of them would be great. However, I then proceeded to do my own review of each song on the CD. So he kinda had an idea right off which ones were up-tempo, and which ones were like break up songs, love songs all that stuff. I know I mentioned 200 acres, Shake, Just the Sounds, Drive Away and Mesquite Tree. Those are my favs right now. Next week I might prefer something else. I will wait for him to email back a response. He was really cool.
