Man, that would be one hell of a drive. 1800 miles. Straight through would take about 30 hours.

Had a long day's work at Busch Stadium today. Last time I was here was not pretty. Today, they win against the Cubs in walk-off fashion. It was a great day for baseball. Perfect weather.

I actually wore my Rangers cap proudly. The Cards fans were all very sincere about last year and said they hoped we make it back this year and win...as long as they aren't there too.

The reason I don't care for Dave Barnett's color commentary is because he lacks excitement (he doesn't get me excited like Lewin did), he talks like just got a dart in his neck, and it takes him forever to comment on what is going on. His HR call is awful and the ball is almost out of the park before he starts making the call. Here is clip from the other night when he thought Murphy hit a HR when in fact it was a ground-rule double. The big problem I have is that it is a one run game in the 6th inning against your division rival and this is how he calls a big HR. I don't need the announcer to get me excited. In fact, it gets annoying at times. That was one of Lewin's faults, not attributes. He was on the other end of the spectrum. A routine grounder to the 2nd baseman in the 3rd inning of a 7-1 game against the Royals sounded like the final out of game 7 of the world series.
Somewhere in the middle would be nice, but you can't have that. I like both guys.
