Word is that Brock has applied for a medical marijuana redshirt.

TCU Head Football Coach Gary Patterson:
"There are days people want to be a head football coach, but today is not one of those days. As I heard the news this morning, I was first shocked, then hurt and now I’m mad.
"Under my watch, drugs and drug use by TCU’s student-athletes will not be tolerated by me or any member of my coaching staff. Period. Our program is respected nationally for its strong ethics and for that reason the players arrested today were separated from TCU by the University. I believe strongly that young people’s lives are more important than wins or losses.
"This situation isn’t unique to TCU—it is a global issue that we all have to address. This isn’t just about bad decisions made by a small percentage of my team. It is about a bigger issue across this country and world.
"As a coach, I do the best I can to educate members of my team. We have programs in place that teach student-athletes about what they should and shouldn’t do and how to be successful in life. I talk to them about how to be students and upstanding men that uphold the TCU name and its traditions.
"At the end of the day, though, sometimes young people make poor choices. The Horned Frogs are bigger and stronger than those involved."

Tanner Brock's last tweet:
Jan 24 "I could watch Modern Family all day."
Will he be Kam or Mitchell in the pokie?

I thought Brock led the team in tackles? That's just what the Ticket was reporting this AM.

In 2010. He missed almost all of last year due to injury.
Brock's father is longtime Copperas Cove assistant AD and DC Reb Brock. Fischer may have crossed paths with him at one time.

No, I haven't.
Where you are dillusional is that somehow you think TCU is cleaner than other programs. Why do you think that? What leads you to believe others would try to cover something like this up? Sounds like GP just found out today. He probably would've tried to cover it up had he known.
I've met him and spent some time with him. I heard more f bombs and other expletives in those hrs than I did in 3 yrs under fran. Not saying that makes him a bad guy or anything. But he isn't a great "character" guy like you make him out to be.

When in this thread did I say they were cleaner? I just said some places would try to cover this up. I'm glad to hear the school and campus police alerted the FWPD about it and worked with them in their investigation.
He administered a random drug test 2/1. I don't think he would have done that if he just found out today. Apparently he was alerted to a possible problem by a recruit who chose to go elsewhere b/c he was offered drugs on his visit. There were also two that failed a test right before the bowl game which created concern.

I guess you don't understand the word random.
Players get tested A LOT at most places. Maybe at TCU they don't test as much as other programs.
You are still acting under the pretense that GP is the one who sounded the alarm on this. He isn't. He said himself he was wowed when this story broke.

I bet his knowledge of the situation is fairly new when compared to the entire timeline. I'm sure he was wowed by the magnitude of the situation, not that it actually happened. He probably had knowledge that some were using but not that a few were dealing.
