How long is your commute to work?
Also, what do you feel is the max commute you could handle every morning?

One way=20 miles or 25 minutes @ 11 pm. I don't really mind a long drive, as long as the traffic is lite. Working 11p-7a has made me HATE traffic. Hell, it's made me hate most people, but that's a story for another thread.

My commute is 5 minutes. It's the farthest I've ever had to commute.

The sitting in traffic part is what I don't think I can handle.

How long is your commute to work? Also, what do you feel is the max commute you could handle every morning? 48 miles is the daily there and back trip. I don't think I could stand anything more than what I drive everyday because I feel like I'm about to blow my top when I hit the driveway from being surrounded by idiots daily. These fucking people even vote. It takes me an hour in the morning and about 45 mins in the evening to make it back home. I live in a bedroom community. People sleep here mostly. There are no high paying jobs in little ole' Lumberton. Everybody has to go down towards Port Arthur to work in the refineries or supply jobs to make a decent buck. I absolutely cannot stand Beaumont (more like BRO-mont). I have to travel through it everyday to get to my job and the traffic fucking sucks. The problem is the I-10 / US69 split. What a fucking trainwreck. Nothing like doing 5 in a 70. I guess I put too much into it when I ask unfathomable questions to TXDot via email like "WHY ARE WE STOPPED IN A 70 MPH ZONE? THERE'S NO STOP SIGNS AND NOT A FREAKIN' TRAFFIC LIGHT ONE." Please explain. I've yet to get a response.

Most days, 20 miles between Weatherford and Mineral Wells on 180, or Weatherford to Decatur.....country highway, not much traffic. Sometimes I have to go to Arlington, then it's about 35 miles, 40 minutes, and makes me wish that there were rocket propelled firebombs that I could shoot at other people.

Easily adds a minute to my commute.

My commute is about 28 miles each way. Mornings take about 40 mins unless there's an accident. Evenings is about 45-50 mins unless there's an accident. Sometimes there is more than one accident. It's taken me over 2 hrs to get home before.
I am at the outer edge of where I want to be. But, I would never move closer to Dallas. I don't mind the time so much in the mornings, but in the evenings, I can't stand it.

Mine is exactly 28 miles each way. I found a way through Euless, NRH, and Southlake that makes it about 40 minutes each way. If I were to take the highway it would be an hour and a half each way. Sometime soon my commute will be 16 steps. It was supposed to start 2/1 but has been pushed back to at least March...that is if our jobs aren't off-shored to India completely.

Mine is about 15 miles and takes 40 mins in the morning and about 30 mins on the way home. The max I would do depends on the amount I'm being paid.

Yeah, supposedly. I worked from home Friday and half of Monday. Lately I've been coming in around 9:30 and leaving around 3:30 or 4 and finish up at home. We can get away with it from time to time but it's supposed to be permanent soon. For what I do I don't need any interpersonal contact on a daily basis. It will be sweet...if it ever happens. They are off-shoring some of our duties but keep saying it's in preparation for when we start getting 2000 new foreclosures a month from this one client. Yeah, I've heard that before...

yeah, true.
But I think it'd be great to work from home if it ever really works out.
Think of the gas money you'd save.
Probably the water bill from never showering or washing clothes, too.
