You don't have to...it's just an option. Being that it's Tim Love I'm sure it may be best to make a reservation for the first few weeks.

I'd love to try it, but unless sully decides to have his angler of the year banquet catered by them, I won't get my chance

We walked in Friday to see what the hubub was and I was blown away. We didn't get to eat but what I saw and smelled made my mouth water and heart skip a beat. The place is pretty cool too. They have a patio that overlooks the Trinity with picnic benches, firepits, butane heaters, and a small bandshell. I've been told by one of the managers that they have live music every night. Anyway, we made reservations for Friday night if anyone wants to join us.

Met Rod out there for lunch Friday afternoon. This was probably my 5th time to go there. Every time I go I find something new about it that I love. We had a good time sitting on the patio. I was supposed to go back home around 3 to finish up work. We didn't leave until nearly 6. I had some brisket served vietnamese style that was incredible. After about 5-6 beers Rod and I tried a margarita...best damn margarita I've ever had. Hands down. Not only was it sweet and flavorful, it was incredibly strong. I went to Joe T's the next day and there's no comparison. The scenery was pretty good too.

Yeah that place is worth every penny. Everything I had tasted awesome, and yes the scenery is also awesome. Cold beers and strong margaritas and the best patio I've been to outside of Austin. Can't go all the time because it is a little pricey, but every once in a while I am definitely in.

Tim Love is a chef and restauranteur, Love Shack, Lonesome Dove, and that ^ is his newest thing. Love shack is good Lonesome Dove is good, overpriced, but good. I haven't been to the Woodshed, but based on Stubb's review of the margaritas, I do believe I am going to have to try it out now.

Tim Love is a proud Denton Bronco.
He also owns one of the best reviewed restaurants in the country called Lonesome Dove in the stockyards of Ft. Worth. Its out of my price range but I was fortunate enough to get to eat there on someone else's dime once. Its incredible. We're talking $200 per couple at the very least.
He also owns The Love Shack right next to the White Elephant. Great burgers, etc. There is a Love Shack in Denton now, too. Same name and owner, different feel entirely.
