Another recruiting note: Uncommitted 3 star DT Aaron Curry out of Fossil Ridge canceled his visit to TCU this weekend in favor of Aggieland after an in home visit from A&M coaches today. Between Johnson, Pope and Curry hopefully Sumlin can pull off a little magic and sign one hell of a first year class. No need to visit when GP rang his doorbell last night. He knows all he needs to know about TCU. I guarantee you they've been to TCU many times unofficially. With time running out he wants to explore all options to the fullest. I don't think cancelling the visit means anything. I probably would do the same thing just to be sure.

I think dgb will end up in Columbia or Austin. Tcu commit daje Johnson is going to decommit this weekend in favor of the sips. Things aren't looking great for the froggies on the recruiting front right now. Well, except that Thomas Johnson is visiting there this weekend. Many feel he's an aggie lock. Predictions: Dgb: tu Curry: aggies Pope: frogs Daje: tu Tj Johnson: aggies I counted Daje out for a long time. He's the kid that asked a girl to the prom in February but is hoping to get the girl he's had a crush on forever to notice him by May. He's just waiting for UT to offer him. If they don't I may still pull the offer if I were GP. We've had a few kids do that and we still kept the offer and they turned out to be bad apples. Just my gut but I don't see Daje as a quality character. Even if we lost a few this is still on track for being the best class we've ever had. If they change their minds we'll just make them regret it on the field in a few years. A 2 star QB turned into a rookie Pro Bowler. I can't think of one current NFL Frog who wasn't seen as an afterthought in recruiting. GP is at his best with a chip on his shoulder. This won't be the worst thing to ever happen.

Not excuses...just reality. We've been played as bargaining chips before. Won't be long before we're a destination school. Ballplayers did that to the Rangers for years. Now they're blowing up the phones and beating down the doors to play in Arlington.

That's great and all when you are playing Colorado State, Wyoming, and UNLV every weekend, but that won't fly even in the weak Bevo 10. It's easy to develop young players when you are playing water down competition, but good luck doing that when these kids are getting their heads kicked in every week. TCU needs every single athlete they can get right now, to suggest otherwise and you are lying to yourself.

And now Stubbs is comparing a small private school to a professional franchise in an entirely different sport. You just can't make this stuff up.

I see the reality. You don't. You apparently expect us to have one of the best classes in the nation all of a sudden. I don't. I realize depth will be an issue. Rome wasn't built in a day. I think the next two years will be ok but after that I don't think we have the depth right now to make 2014 and '15 successful by TCU standards.
It's a process. We have to stack recruiting classes on top recruiting classes. We're gonna take this class and stack it on top of last year. Then we'll take the last two classes and stack it on top of next year. That will be the process we take in which to win football games. Then we'll take wins and stack them on top of wins. When you stack recruiting on top of wins you have a process by which you build programs because of stacking.

Pardon my ignorance, but who are we speaking of here?

Nick Offerman.

An analogy involves a comparison of similar things, the Rangers and Frogs have absolutely nothing in common. Using the rise of the Rangers as an example of how the Frogs are going to rise up as well is just ridiculous.

Pardon my ignorance, but who are we speaking of here? I was just pointing out that saying TCU was fine even if they lost a few commits is a little off base. Never said TCU should start going after every 5 star in the state, but to act like losing commits this late in the game is no big deal is pretty short sighted.

OMG...this is the first time we've ever lost a recruit late in the game. What are we to do? The AD just went to the foreman and GC to tell them to halt construction. We only need one side since we're dropping to FCS.

Man, you look for anything, don't you?
