It was a three second white knuckle ride. Bob posed the question with such confidence and you could tell he was defeated when Tom knew nothing. But I'm sure Tom knows something...

Bob,
I was listening to the Ranger’s pregame show yesterday on that station with worse range than a 40-year-old Michael Young and they were interviewing Jim Sundburg about some of the things he’s up to right now. One thing he spoke about was a team they put together to look into renovations for the ballpark. They visited about a dozen major and minor league parks for the purpose of gaining ideas. One of the things he mentioned was how to address the heat. He didn’t go into detail and I have no clue what they can do short of doming the ballpark but he said that they hope to put forth a proposal to the ownership committee in a couple months and have upgrades completed in a couple years.

How could I hate Cliff Lee? I was the first to call on the Rangers to make that deal. Everyone else wanted to settle for Oswalt. Lee is a great American and even better, a proud Razorback.

you were saying all along that there is a reason that he kept bouncing from team to team, he isn't a team player, yada yada yada.

Who wanted Oswalt? KL was the one hyping him up trying to pawn him off on us. Even Finch argued that he was a high level risk at best.

Mike was a big time Lee hater during the latter part of the regular season last year.

Oh I remember that. I just don't know who was calling for Oswalt here.

Oswalt was the other choice hyped by the media. I wanted Lee (thank you, Matthew for the documentation). My point was that Lee is a hired gun, not a team first guy. The fact that he turned his back on Texas(as I also predicted) only proves my point.

I don't consider that turning his back on Texas at all. He had been shipped around his entire career. He finally got to make the decision on where he wanted to live and play.

I agree framp.
Mike was very adamant that he would end up a yankee. He never claimed he'd go to philly, or anywhere else. Also, he went opposite of what Mike claimed and took less money.

What part of leaving your world series team to play somewhere else does not equal "turning your back"?
