They looked pretty good to me. Only losses are to LSU, AUB, BAMA, and ARK.

An annual belief before the post season from fans of lesser conferences.

But you do have a bit of a point Fischer in that the SEC is a bit overrated this year. I'm not speaking about years prior...but for this year it is not as good as it usually is. The Big 10 might be just as good this year. So might the Big XII for that matter. I think it's a product of more parody in college football.

Its parity, not parody. Two different words.
SEC is still the best conference in the country.

The top five teams in the SEC West are 34-1 against everyone but themselves. yeah, we are really down this year. Bama-PSU, SJSU, Duke, Georgia State...GEORGIA STATE Ark-Tenn Tech, ULaMon, A&M, UTEP Auburn-Ark St, Clemson, ULaMon, Chattanooga (Giving up almost 20 PPG against those teams) LSU-UNC (half the team was suspended and they still almost won), WVU, McNeese St, ULaMon. (BTW, LSU played only 4 road games this year) MSU-Memphis, Alcorn St, Houston, UAB Ole Miss-Jacksonville St (loss), Tulane, Fresno State, ULaLa. Their only significant wins are Ark over A&M and LSU over WVU and MAYBE UNC. Excluding FCS opponents the SEC West's OOC opponents are 75-100 (.429). With FCS they are 112-135 (.453) Let's not leave out the East who fields mighty teams like Tennessee, Vandy, and Kentucky. The East champ South Carolina played Southern Miss, Furman, Troy, and Clemson. I'm not saying they're bad...just saying the SEC isn't as high and mighty as it thinks it usually is...

But they are higher and mightier than any other conference. You could make your list there with the other conferences and come up with just about the same result.

Exactly...which doesn't prove that they are so high and mighty.

yeah, or make an IN conference list with most other conferences (with the exception of the Big12, Big 10, ACC, and PAC10) and come up with the same thing.

Seems you left out the games played against the SEC East. I am glad to see you are finally recognizing STRENGTH of schedule as a way of determining a teams worth. Remember that at bowl selection time.
