I said if the money was equal.
The way it is now wouldn't be good.
If they were in the Big 12 they would have more recruiting success in Texas. Right now Arkansas struggles to compete for some Texas kids that they could land if they were in the Big 12.
TCU is better off in the Big East. They can still fly under the radar, but now will be in an AQ conference.
Like I've said all along, the Big 12 wouldn't be good for TCU. They would immediatley be middle of the pack.

If everything were equal Arkansas would jump in a heartbeat. But it's not and they know it never will be. That will be the demise of the Big XII. It's best days are behind it. Beebe won't be able to deliver the TV deal he promised and the northern teams will split for conferences with more TV exposure and more favorable revenue sharing. Rice and Houston will be begged to join just to get them to 8 teams.

I agree that the Big 12's days are numbered. That is basically what that TCU Hater's article was about.
I also agree that the money will never be equal, but if it was, Arkansas would prosper in the Big 12

The Big VIII will join with the remnants of CUSA to finally help the Metro Conference realize their dream of 16 teams. It only took 20+ years but it finally got there.

Just listened to the Dale Hansen interview on the Ticket about the Pony Excess 30-30.
He claims that before the SMU story he had the Aggies "Dead to rights" with Kevin Murray and that they botched the investigation and Sherill schmoozed his way around letting that story break.
How weird would it be for the Ags to be the one receiving the death penalty and not the ponies?
By the way, I am definitely watching that documentary. Can't wait for it.

DVR is already set for this one. One other programming note, ESPNU will be replaying the 1982 SMU/ARKANSAS tie game on 12/14. Game contains the worst PI call in the history of football. SMU went 11-0-1 that year, without that tie, Smu wins the national championship.
