Doyle, there is no way you were going to drive all the way here. I am calling your bluff.
Sorry for not inviting you, I didn't think you'd be able to go.

Aggie basketball is quietly having their best start since 1919. Now their OOC schedule was filled with a lot of spares, but they did knock off 2 ranked team. They have also easily handled OU and OSU in their first 2 b12 games. I think they are up to 13 in one of the poles and this weekend against ranked Mizzou will depend on if they move up. They don't have a star like they have kinda of had in the past 6 years but they have an awesome defense. Pretty good game to watch last night. I know my audience with this post is very sketchy-to-nonexistent but college football is over and this is what takes us to spring training.

I watched the entire game. It was a dominating performance.
Finch watched it too.
We need Middleton to turn into a consistent go to scorer and we could be dominant. The OOC schedule wasn't that bad. It puts us in decent RPI position.
This weekend will be a very tough matchup, but like you said, we play defense. If we can get some consistent scoring and keep playing that defense we should be alright.

Ye when Middleton is on his game he is a special player. Dash can play some solid D.
They have the 92 strength of sched right now and before the first two conference games it was ranked 153. If I remember right when I was looking at the RPI last week they had about the 2nd easiest schedule of anyone in the top 50. Even though they had the two ranked teams they played some awful schools like Mcneese St, Manhattan, and Prairie View. These next few games against Mizz, KSt and tu will show a lot.

We need Middleton to turn into a consistent go to scorer and we could be dominant. The OOC schedule wasn't that bad. It puts us in decent RPI position. The reason their RPI is decent is because they have only lost 1 game. If they had a better OOC schedule they would be up there with the other 1 loss teams instead of having teams with 3, 4, and 5 losses ahead of them. Because they have a bad SOS they are there is only one 1-loss team ranked worse then them in the nation, Cincy. Their SOS is a ridiculous 273. Ahead of the Aggies in the RPI are three 5-loss teams, one 4-loss team, and five 3-loss teams. I was researching this this morning before it got brought up so I wanted to display the info.

Having an OOC strength of schedule in the 150 range is pretty normal. Sure there are teams that played a tougher one, but its not like we are the only big time team that played an easy schedule. We played a tougher one than some teams.
You forget there are 300 and something Division 1 teams.

Right, but for a high ranked team their SOS is bad. That's why they are a 1 loss team where they are. That's all I'm saying. For a team that has such a good ranking their SOS is bad. It is about to change pretty quick though.

Actually, due to Magee's lengthy arrest record, he will stay at Arkansas.
That's a coach you can be proud to have at your school.

On a basketball note, I am pumped about the Aggie game tomorrow night. I think they should beat tu but since its in Austin it will be tough. The horns are overrated by the voters in my opinion (and in the electronic opinion of the RPI). A win tomorrow would really start to give the Aggies a lot of national recognition and maybe move them up there with the rest of the 1 loss teams.
