I can no longer ridicule Matt for his namedropping ways. I am guilty of the same. While watching the Ark/Aggie game, I was talking to a good Ag seated next to me and the subject of Texas music came up. He said he was really into this band from up in Denton and wondered if I had heard of a Rodney Parker and 50 Peso Reward. He said he caught you guys at Gruene and he and his buddies had been into y'all for about a year. Big fans!
Well, I lean back, tap Fischer on the shoulder, inform him of the situation and we proceed to tell how good friends we were with you, how you played at my birthday party, his wedding...The worst part was when I actually showed him your name on my cell phone. At least we stopped short of calling you. Anyway, I feel better having confessed all this. Sorry Rodney, Jim Beam just makes me too sociable.

Man, Fischer could use the sports psychologist from The Natural right now. The lows make the highs even sweeter, though.
