Thursday, I have an appointment to get direct tv installed. Would really like to be delivered from the evil of Charter cable, but I'm not sure I can get reception from my patio. Anybody got a chainsaw?

I really thought this thread was going to be about the Rangers.

I have direct and its a good. Especially during major golf tournaments cause they have the special channels that follow the main group, specific holes, 18, etc. Ive never watched more golf than I have this year.

I looked at the situation again last night and can't see any way to get a signal thru the damn trees. The installer has go to pull this off. NFL SUNDAY TICKET IS RIDING ON THIS!

They'll get it done.
haven't you seen that commercial where they roll out the blue carpet and one man turns into 12 and they start dancing around while setting up your tv? They'll gay it up, but it will get done.

I've also got directv. It's the shit compared to Time Warner.
Screw you Ted Turner and your Looney Tunes hating ass.

I have Time Warner and it's pretty shitty, but I bet you get nothing on Directv in this rain.

Storms can sometimes cause some problems with the dish but it rarely happens. When it does I turn to the DVR.

Mine messed up yesterday with all the rain and wind. Didn't last long, and like Craig said you have the DVR.

yeah, the weather effs it up.
But you can't take your time warner box anywhere.
I can take my directv box to the lease, or to a tail gate or anywhere i want.

ok. But what happens when the storm comes through while you're recording something you don't want to miss?
