Still evenly matched. Game doesn't have to end in a tie for teams to be evenly matched. BSU had their head in the game. TCU had theirs in their assess. BSU was better prepared. What else is there to say? Um, how about that Boise is the better team because they won? But there's really no need to argue, you stick to opinion and rationalization and I'll stick to facts and sound arguments. It's a good system we have going here.

You act like BSU won by 3 TDs? They won by 7 points and those 7 points came right after a fake punt. I'd say they were evenly matched. Someone has to win, right?

umm, guys...
that was last year. It has no bearing on this year.
For proof, you can see that TCU beat boise in 08. That obviously did not make TCU better in 09.
Right now, I would MUCH rather play Boise than TCU. Who knows by the end of the year.
Defense, defense, defense.

TCU has 16 returning starters and I think BSU had 21 but Fischer is right...teams are different from year to year even with the same cast of characters. Honestly, I think TCU is hungrier and playing with a chip on their shoulder...of course, this could cause them to play more emotional which could lead to something bad.
I don't see VT putting 30 on TCU but I don't see TCU putting up 33 against VT. TCU needs to focus on not giving up the big play...the hallmark of GP's defense the last 4-5 years. Fewer teams will give up a big play more than TCU.
Judging from what we know and what we've seen I'd say both are deserving of their respective records. Texas looked flat. Florida looked awful. OU looked lazy. These were big wins for both teams.
Mike, why is USC the en vougue pic for the SEC East? I just don't see it.

The SEC-e is a little down this year. I thought so car looked pretty good last week and the media likes spurrior, so they get the love. Oh yeah, tebow Jesus isn't around anymore either.
What I don't get is Herbies and ESPN love of auburn. To me, they are no better than 4th in the west.

We'll see what Ahbun has tonight.
Interesting games coming up this weekend.
PSU's freshman looked like a deer in the headlights at home against Youngstown St. Once he settled down he did pretty good and the stats reflected as much but it'll be a whole other story when he gets to Tuscaloosa. The 'Bama bigots are going to give the Rock City boy a hard time.
Which Terrelle Pryor and Jacory Harris will show up in Columbus. No one throws a better deep ball than Harris but no one has worse pocket presence either. Pryor has never met a throw over 15 yards that he liked. Miami's D-line is some of the most talented in the nation. They have future all-Americans on the bench. Will tOSU's line give Pryor the time to look downfield? Miami just might have the most talent in the nation but they also might be the worst coached team, save for New Mexico.

Son of a gun this is tough week in the pick'em. Out of 20 there are only about 3 games that I have any confidence in.

Yeah, it is a tough week. Why couldn't they at least throw us a bone with TCU and Tenn. Tech? Was that too much to ask? Spot us all a 20 so we could at least feel good about ourselves?

it wouldn't have changed the standings at all.
I agree this is a tough week. I like them better when they are tough. We will have a little separation this week I bet. Unless we all suck.
I just hope I am on the correct side of the separation. All you can ask for is a chance to win it in the last 2 or 3 weeks.

I know it doesn't change anything but it's a psychological thing. You're all together upstairs...you wouldn't understand.
