TCU's playcalling.
Who is the better coach, Brown or Patterson?

What's the outside perception of TCU? Mac Engle from the Startlegram says Baylor has nothing to win by playing TCU. I think it's quite the opposite. I don't care who you play...if you beat a top 5 team you have a lot to win. If James Madison were ranked #5 I'd love to have them on my schedule. sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/colleges/2010/09/why-is-baylor-playing-tcu.htmlIt would be a HUGE win for Baylor but would it mean as much to A&M or Tech? What about Boise? I'm sure UT would try to downplay it. The outside perception of TCU is getting better, but I think the masses still consider them a second rate program. No matter who they beat, they get to go back and play crappy teams the next week instead of playing quality competition week in and week out. As for it being a lose, lose for Baylor, that is crap. It would be a huge win for them. The lose part comes in the form of perception. To many recruits, Baylor is more desirable than TCU. Baylor has better facilities, a better academic reputation and a bigger fan base. What they lack is WINS. TCU has wins, but lacks a conference and a huge amount of credibility. A Baylor loss would be hard evidence that TCU is, in fact, a better program. We all know that is the case, but Baylor always has the, "yeah but we play in the Big 12 and play tougher competition" excuse to fall back on. Until now. When they play there is no "yeah buts." Winner has scoreboard. As for the Aggies, or anyone better than the Aggies that's in a BCS conference, its a no win situation. You're probably going to lose to a team that is in a weak conference and doesn't get half the recruits you do. Its embarrassing. If you're going to lose, might as well play a team with some name recognition (see Ags vs Arkansas).

Mack Brown is the best in the country at his job.
GP is a better X's and O's guy but that isn't Mack's Job.

Nick Saban doesn't do what Mack Brown does, although I see your point.

I wasn't griping about the play calling at the end of the game. It was an off tackle call to the FB. GP was mad they scored...I could care less...I'm just glad they didn't air it out with the game already in hand like Texas did.

Nick Saban doesn't do what Mack Brown does, although I see your point. Saban does what Mack does PLUS coaches football. Put Saban in Austin and Mack at Bama. Who do you think would be more successful?

I'm not doubting your knowledge but how is Baylor's facilities better than TCU's? FCS is in the ghetto. TCU has the indoor facility that even the Cowboys use. They built a whole athletic center about 7 years ago. I'm not sure about the weight room. When it was built in '96 it was one of the best in the country for a short period of time. I remember when Nebraska re-did theirs they said something about using TCU's as a palate. I walk by it every game and it looks like it's been upgraded quite a bit since I last used it but I have nothing else to cross-reference it by.
I'm sure, no, I'm positive that overall BU has better athletic facilities but do they have better football facilities than TCU?
BTW, we have an Olympic training center in the works. 50M has already been raised. And they have the funds to extend the upper deck at the baseball stadium. There's a possibility of starting on that next summer.
