What do they have TCU over Baylor by? The line I saw yesterday was 21.

Low points. GP's teams don't do a good job of covering. His win by one point philosophy is frustrating at times.

I was also very surprised by that line, seems way too high. I still think TCU wins without too much trouble, but I was thinking more in the 14-17 point range.

I can guarantee you that GP will hold the OCs' heads to the coals if they throw a TD pass in the last minute when the game is already in hand...unlike Mac Poo-poo Brown...(see Wyoming).

Sounds like you are making an early excuse for a close game. Your theory doesnt hold up will with their 62-7 win last week.

You obviously didn't hear his post-game interview when he was pissed that a 5th year senior FB with 5 career carries hauled off a 29 yard TD run with about 4 minutes to go. It was a simple play designed for short yardage situations and called the number of the last guy on the depth chart. There were no intentions on scoring. They didn't throw a pass in the 4th quarter. Up by 3 TDs in the last minute TU was still throwing.
Not making excuses...that's just how it goes. Last year's beatdowns of Utah and BYU were out of character for a big game. See the 2009 Poinsetta Bowl...dominated that stat sheet and won by one point. See the Oregon State game. Dominated in stats and won by 9. It's frustrating as a fan watching a team that gets away from what is working. They should have beaten OSU by 3 TDs.

Dominating a stat sheet doesn't really have anything to do with who wins the game a lot of times.
The reason the poinsetta bowl was close is because they played a team that was as good as they were. Same with the OSU game.

I'm saying they got away from what was working and it made the games closer than it should have been. Why on 3rd and 1 when you're gaining over 5 yards a carry do you call a rollout in a 2 TE set when you threw 11 passes to TEs last year and the team leader had 6 catches? The result: a redzone INT.

No coach tries to win by one point. Or even ten points. they may stop at 14 half way through the 4th and thats even pushing it.

GP has repeatedly embraced the win by one point philosophy. He had it about a dozen times before and after the OSU game.

What's the outside perception of TCU? Mac Engle from the Startlegram says Baylor has nothing to win by playing TCU. I think it's quite the opposite. I don't care who you play...if you beat a top 5 team you have a lot to win. If James Madison were ranked #5 I'd love to have them on my schedule. sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/colleges/2010/09/why-is-baylor-playing-tcu.htmlIt would be a HUGE win for Baylor but would it mean as much to A&M or Tech? What about Boise? I'm sure UT would try to downplay it.

I understand both sides I think. I think that any team would be better off beating a number 10 eam coming from he SEC rather than a number 5 TCU team. The SEC win still looks better to voters in my opinion. However I dont think Baylor has nothing to win by playing TCU, I think thats a little over-blown.

So you support GP and his philosophy, and ridicule Brown for his ways, but then you knock his playcalling at the end of games...
WTF?

Who's play calling at the end of a game did I knock? I'm confused.
