Got to back up Yadi in this situation. Don't call me and my team a bunch of little bitches and then expect me to be your buddy the next day. I don't care if "tapping" the catcher on the shin guards is how you "get your game on". Keep your bat away from me and we'll be fine.
The only reason Cueto was up against the fence was because he followed Rolen when they pushed Carp against it. If you treat my Cy Young winner like that, you better be ready to fight.
Love the passion and the sweep by the Cards. The Reds are small timers.

I played catcher for many years growing up. The man behind the plate takes great pride in what he does. That is our plate. Don't kick dirt on me, don't have an accidental backswing that hits me in the back of the helmet, and for sure don't touch me with your bat. That's asking for it.

Phillips tapped Yadi twice, once after Yadi told him not to do it. Everything was cool until Dusty Baker with his toothpick and sweatbands rolls out there pointing fingers and yelling at Carpenter. Dusty Baker is a joke.

don't have an accidental backswing that hits me in the back of the helmet, Then back up. This little bitch told me that in the game I wrecked my ankle last month. I told him to back up and he won't get hit. He said "don't swing to hard." I told him not to be a little P. This went back and forth before the umpire calmed us down. So what did I do? I wore out the back line of the box and stood as far back as possible. I hate turds like that. Like last year when this dill told me to stop hitting foul balls because I could hurt little kids. Everything else you're right about. Phillips does the tapping thing...it's stupid. What's the purpose?

Oh my gosh, Stubbs is now using his softball stories. This thread just went from so so to awesome in one post.
Way to go Stubbs, you tell that lazy softball catcher who's boss. That is your box.

I was meaning it as a deliberate and intentional crazy follow through over the head, after the swing with the back shoulder. I've seen some guys do a complete 360 over their heads with the bat after they swing, instead of stopping out in front of them after they hit a ball or swing through not making contact. Now with that being said, there are some guys that I used to reach out on and grab the ball right as they were in midswing. I got called on that maybe 3 times my whole time playing. It's not my fault batters are behind the ball swinging late.

maybe Carp thought Dusty was another player since he was wearing wristbands and eyeblack? Most managers don't need those. Dusty is a tool.

I would have gone more than seven, but that seems fair enough I guess.

It's not my fault batters are behind the ball swinging late. Had a long-winded response but my session timed out and I lost it when I replied. I get what you're saying, though. You probably see more kids get hit by lefties than righties because lefties have more of a natural tendency to have the long backswing. You see a greater percentage of lefties have the release at contact swing than you do righties. George Brett, Will Clark, and Josh Hamilton are great examples of this. Frank Thomas was a righty but had the longest backswing I've ever seen. He came from the Walt Hriniak school of hitting that thought that element as a key part of the swing. In little league kids just don't see that many lefties and are probably not used their natural swing.

Yea I've always noticed that about lefties. They seem to have a more "loopier" swing. I know that doesnt make sense but thats the way I describe it. I'll reference David Murphy's 3 cathers interference incidents this year. I dont think it is a coincidence.
