hahaha, I think you might be correct there KL.
It could have to do with 5 or so years of the same argument with the same disregard for logic.

I've noticed it for the 2ish years i've been here. he's just a VERY dedicated TCU fan/alumni.
I think that the t-shirt t-sips took lessons from him on how to defend TU.

haha
Stubbs is actually a (not so) proud alum of North Texas State Teachers College, which is commonly referred to as the University of North Texas.
Believe it or not, you can be dedicated without being completely dillusional.

He still went there. I call that fair. But I say he should be just as big UNT fan.

I think its fair too.
I don't think it would be fair to claim them as his alma mater, but I've never heard him do that.

I just assumed that since he's all gung-ho about TCU that he was an alumni. My bad. I guess its a "pick which school is making more of a statement at the moment and be all about them" situation. it's cool. i can respect that. but in all fairness, its like the t-shirt fan that went to UT for his freshman fall semester and claims longhorn status even though they never finished school.

The difference is...baylor is not the number 4 team in the country dude! One of these days, if you folks at TCU want respect, act with some damn dignity! You beat Baylor by 7 TDs! That's like Boise beating Vandy by 7 TDs. But, Boise would act like they've been there before and move on whether Vandy talked the loss down or not! Shit! Not sure what your argument is. All I'm saying is that they were acting like little bitches (Arthur and RG3) and their comments made it sound as if one little thing had gone right then they had a chance. They were the ones saying this was going to be their breakout game. You haven't seen any gloating here from me. It's a lot different than going just one semester. I took 63 hours at TCU. But even if I had gone one semester what's wrong with claiming TCU status? There are no former Aggies, right? In regards to gung-honess...I was gung-ho when we were 1-10 in '97. I was ecstatic when we went to the Sun Bowl in '98 and beat USC; two years removed from being one of the worst teams in the nation. I didn't even know UNT played football until I set foot on campus. Better yet, I didn't even know it existed when I was applying to schools.

What briles said was nothing like whining. He said they weren't prepared.
I'm not really surprised you don't get the argument. You haven't gotten it in five years and you aren't likely to ever get it

As if being prepared for an ass-whipping would have made a difference?

You were claiming he was whining. He wasn't. He was taking the blame for a poor performance. Its what good coaches do.

I can't wait for football, but I'm more excited about Rangers baseball right now. I don't care what happens with Cliff Lee after this season, as long as he gives us some postseason action. Then, I'll hope we can resign him. As for college ball... I hope NTSU wins more than 3 games. I will attend at least one game this year. Anyone? -This is a ridiculous statement but I'm game. I hope the Ags win the Big 12. -Hahahaha I hope Nebraska and TU lose 4 games each. -God me too. I hope USC loses at least 4 games. F Lane Kiffin. That is the only reason why. -F that golden boy I hope TCU beats Oregon St, but turns around and loses to Tennessee Tech for scheduling them. -Irony I hope I'm watching baseball through October. -Yeah I thought it was locked up, wtf?
