Several of those records are a bit misleading.
Most of those guys played in spread offensive systems, Keenum included, where the short passing game essentially replaces the running game. Last year UH was 112th in rushes per game. SMU, another spread system, was 111. Hawaii and Tech were 120 and 119. UH ran only 35% of the time last year. Back when Timmy Chang was at Hawaii they were notorious for almost ZERO running game. In his senior year they only ran 29% of the time. The same applies to Graham Harrell and Colt Brennan. Their stats are products of the system they played in. The only name on that list that impresses me is Detmer. They WAC used to air it out back then and Detmer was one of the best. The chunked it for over 400 yards against a Miami team that finished #3 in 1990.
I'm not knocking Keenum, it's just the system. He actually does throw a good deep ball compared to most other spread QBs but the little dink and dunk throws tends to inflate stats a bit. I'd say the same thing about Dalton if TCU threw so much. A lot of their passing game is the same thing and I often wish they'd throw down field more b/c they have the receivers to do it.

I too love thunderbirds and I somewhat agree with stubbs that certain systems produce stats, take for example all the Texas Tech QB's that have had outstanding careers but couldn't even make a team in the NFL.
On the other hand though you have Kevin Kolb you HAS made it and would still be the starting QB for Philly if he hadn't gotten hurt. I think Brennan, sorry for misspelling, will have a chance to make it as long as he can prove he can make a complete comeback from this injury.

My claim to NFL fame is being friends with Josh Scobee, the kicker for the Jacksonville Jags.

We are friends through friends.
My good friend Phillip used to play soccer with him in Longview and would bring him over to our house for a few beers every now and then.

Doyle Cobbs is still in the league with Miami.
I will claim Jarvis Moss.
Does it count that Charlie Johnson OL for the Colts blocked a few of my shots in high school bball?

Give it a couple years and John will have about 10 players he's coached with the list only growing, I think we're outnumbered.

Yeah, I've been around a few.
It would be like Doyle saying he knows a lot of actors or Sully saying he knows a lot of rich people. Or Finch saying he knows a lot of @ssholes.
