I'd say they did okay being down by 2, to at least come back and tie it up. It saddens me when a great American like DB begins to accept American mediocrity. C'mon man, SNAP OUT OF IT!!! Mike, we can't be the best at everything.

So are our kick ballers out? Do they have a chance to advance? This world cup is a good example of our wussified participation ribbon society. You get to lose over and over before you're out. In the American playoff system, you're out when you lose. There also isn't any of this tieing bs

They haven't lost yet......they also haven't won yet though. However, one of the favorites England hasn't won yet either. Win our last group game and we're in no matter what. A tie could still possibly get us in but would take help. The game was awesome, such a great comeback. They should have won, no one is certain why the ref disallowed the last goal, he must have had some serious money on it. I'm out on soccer after the WC but for now it is pretty cool.

The tie is one of the worst things in all of sports. To allow it in the biggest tourney in the world is oh so gay. It says a lot.

Well its just in the group rounds to see who goes to the knockout round where theyw will play ot and then shootout if necessary. Just let it be for a few more weeks and it will be over you unpatriotic hippies.

Smite to Craig for saying we are hippies because we don't like the most hippie sport in the history of the world.

....repeat first down.
I know its a hippie sport. But when it comes to our nation I will watch it and be a fan of it. I bet you normally dont watch swimming, diving, gymnastics, and volleyball..... but you, Finch, Harv, and I spent a good deal time during the 2004 summer watching the Olympics. Those sports could be considered ghey but because it was the olympics we watched.

All good points, Framp. I will be sure to support our teams in other soccer-level sports, such as haki sack and ultimate frisbee.

It wasn't the result we were looking for. Fortunately England is playing terrible and gave us a huge life line to advance. Scenarios for us to advance....
1)Win. We win and we advance. 2)Tie. 2 A)We tie and England loses, we advance with Slovenia. We are second in the group. 2 B)We tie and England wins. We are out. 2 C)We tie and England tie. Slovenia wins the group and we are battling England on tiebreakers for second.
3)We lose. We are out and the other results from the group don't matter.
