If not, TCU will be blowing up OU's phone, if it hasn't already. You might think I'm crazy but hear me out. GaTech is more likely but the SEC would love nothing more than to be in Texas. OU is close but not exactly what they want. But there's no way in hell they tell OU no. GaTech would give them the Atlanta markey entirely but they already pretty much own it in UGA. GaTech's share of Atl is about what OU or TTU's is in DFW. As I already said, there's no way Clemson goes (despite what Fischer thinks). The SC market isn't that big to begin with and USC has half of it, if not more. I think they'd only take FSU if they could get Miami too. None of these markets compare to what Texas has to offer. With TU and A&M gone the only options are DFW (TCU) and Houston. Houston is a #10 market and DFW is 5. The SEC already has a decent foothold in Houston with LSU being #3 behind A&M and UT. TCU already has a stadium plan in action that could bring capacity to 55k which would be appealing to the SEC in addition to their top 10 ranking three of the last 4 years and past decade of proven success. They have a very good baseball program which might have some merit as well. With TCU the SEC gets the the largest market available to them, a committed administration and fan base, and modern and state-of-the-art stadium, a proven football team and good athletic program, and 11 games every two years in DFW (4-5 conference games in alternating seasons and an annual Cotton Bowl appearance). If this were to happen I guarantee that they'd work something out with Jerry to bring an annual out-of-conference game to Jerry World in addition to the Ark/A&M matchup (if the complete the agreement after the dust settles). Jerry World would also get into the rotation for the SEC championship game and the Cotton Bowl would eventually become a BCS bowl or at least a bowl with a HUGE payout. Over a decade you'd have 50+ games in DFW and the SEC may not have played 50 games in Texas ever. I guarantee Arkansas would be all in favor of this. Like I said, it's unlikely to happen but it is definately something the SEC HAS to consider if A&M cannot break from Texas. Man Stubbs, I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but there is no way this happens. I'm sorry, but TCU does not in any way shape or form bring the DFW market. The break down for DFW is: 1. tu 2. OU 3. A&M 4. tceh 5. TCU/SMU/UNT Also, 55k is nothing for an SEC stadium. Most SEC schools get more than that for their Spring game. A&M gets 40k just for Midnight Yell. You're also forgetting that all of this has absolutely nothing to do with performance on the field, and everything to do with tv/recruiting markets. TCU does deliver the Texas market to recruiting, but it offers nothing in tv revenue. If TCU did, they wouldn't be playing on VS at 9pm on Thursday nights every other week. Another point you missed was alumni numbers. A&M currently has over 300K, with tu in the same area. What does TCU have? 50k, 75K tops? The SEC already has their small private school, they don't want another. Really, at this point anything is possible, but your logic is way off base. If TCU joins the SEC it will be because the SEC has to, not because they want to.

I never said TCU brings the DFW market. You order is right except for A&M is #2 and Ou is 3. I just stated that it gives them a presence. I didn't state that UH brought the Houston market and the same goes for TCU. I don't think the SEC cares as much about share as it does presence. With presence will come share.
BTW, Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville holds 55082, Vaught-Hemmingway in Oxford holds 60, and Vanderbilt Stadium holds 39000. The point is that it will be a newly-remodeled stadium and not the dump that it currently is. The SEC would see it as an acceptable facility.
TCU hasn't played on Thursday night since 2007.

Coach Fischer's nemesis, Gene Stallings will insure the aTm invite to the SEC. The door is open Aggies, just walk thru it.

I haven't heard anything this morning but from what I heard last night I think the Big 12....or I guess the Big 10 now?.....is probably going to work it out and stay together. But wait a minute and things might completely fall apart.

This was all a ploy to get Colorado's liberal asses out of the conference. Thanks for taking the heat Nebraska! Big 12 is expanding!

True. Except if North Texas joined. That would surprise me. Or if Gino Petrali became the Head Coach of Oklahoma.

Heard that too and that the announcement will be made next week. Speculation is that BSU will replace Utah...but, they are, in fact, replacing TCU.
