From what I have read A&M and Baylor legislators are currently working on deal to get Baylor support for A&M to the SEC. If that is true this might actually happen.

I read that too. Baylor is trying to get themselves into the Pac16. Talk about a school not fitting. All those liberal hippy God hating schools with little ole Christian Baylor.

I agree, but Baylor is just trying to stay relevant any way they can, even if it means selling their souls to the sun devils.

I have to take a break from this stuff for a little bit. My head is spinning from all the rumors out right now.
I can't really say why but I have a good feeling that A&M will be a member of the SEC by the time all this is done.

Just spent an hour reading Orangebloods.
Those people are the most delusional, overconfident a holes I have ever seen. I hate t-sips.

Billy Liucci, an A&M recruiting guy just tweeted this.
As decision-time nears, A&M's pro-SEC faction is stepping up the pressure and trying to swing the pendulum to the East...

Now people that were at the tu/A&M meeting are saying a decision may not come until next week. Both the Ags and sips are waiting around to see which conference gives them the best offer. The Pac 10 has back tracked saying they have not offered any other Big 12 schools yet. Probably an attempt to save face in case things don't work out for them.

I don't, I think the Pac 16 deal is dead in the water. Right now I think A&M and tu are probably going to land in the Big 10, with the SEC still a possibility. I think the Aggie powers that be realized a move to the Pac 16 wouldn't change anything and tu would still be in control.

I just spent 3+ hours in a training seminar, sitting in the back, and mapping out all the scenarios.
This is the most realistic scenario I came up with:
CU and Utah to the Pac-10...as I've stated all along.
A&M, TU, and NU to the Big 11 to make 14.
OU to the SEC with GaTech or FSU to round it out.
The ACC would gobble up WVU and possibly Pitt and USF to get to 14.
The Big 7 would then add TCU, BYU, and UH to get to ten. They would then sell the Big 14 name to the Big 10 for a huge sum of money and rebrand themselves something other than the Big 10. If they wanted to stay 12 they could add CSU and AFA. If they decide to go to 14 they would add SMU and Memphis. But i think 10 is the best under that scenario. It wouldn't be ideal but would still be a respectable football conference and a 9-team baseball conference.
If A&M is able to give TU the finger and go to the SEC, OU would go with them. Word is that OU is searching for a partner to go east.
If not, TCU will be blowing up OU's phone, if it hasn't already. You might think I'm crazy but hear me out. GaTech is more likely but the SEC would love nothing more than to be in Texas. OU is close but not exactly what they want. But there's no way in hell they tell OU no. GaTech would give them the Atlanta markey entirely but they already pretty much own it in UGA. GaTech's share of Atl is about what OU or TTU's is in DFW. As I already said, there's no way Clemson goes (despite what Fischer thinks). The SC market isn't that big to begin with and USC has half of it, if not more. I think they'd only take FSU if they could get Miami too. None of these markets compare to what Texas has to offer.
With TU and A&M gone the only options are DFW (TCU) and Houston. Houston is a #10 market and DFW is 5. The SEC already has a decent foothold in Houston with LSU being #3 behind A&M and UT. TCU already has a stadium plan in action that could bring capacity to 55k which would be appealing to the SEC in addition to their top 10 ranking three of the last 4 years and past decade of proven success. They have a very good baseball program which might have some merit as well.
Houston has had limited recent success and sub-standard facilities. They have announced plans to renovate Robertson Stadium who knows if they'll even be able to raise the funds with a widely apathetic fan base. Plus, the new stadium will look like UNT's new stadium's uglier twin sister.
With TCU the SEC gets the the largest market available to them, a committed administration and fan base, and modern and state-of-the-art stadium, a proven football team and good athletic program, and 11 games every two years in DFW (4-5 conference games in alternating seasons and an annual Cotton Bowl appearance). If this were to happen I guarantee that they'd work something out with Jerry to bring an annual out-of-conference game to Jerry World in addition to the Ark/A&M matchup (if the complete the agreement after the dust settles). Jerry World would also get into the rotation for the SEC championship game and the Cotton Bowl would eventually become a BCS bowl or at least a bowl with a HUGE payout. Over a decade you'd have 50+ games in DFW and the SEC may not have played 50 games in Texas ever. I guarantee Arkansas would be all in favor of this.
Like I said, it's unlikely to happen but it is definately something the SEC HAS to consider if A&M cannot break from Texas.

From what I have read A&M and Baylor legislators are currently working on deal to get Baylor support for A&M to the SEC. If that is true this might actually happen. Chet Edwards needs to stick to being Pelosi's butt buddy and not worry about Baylor getting left behind. If he thinks anyone outside of McClennen County gives a rat's ass that Baylor will be left out he's got another thing coming. His comments were stupid. What about UTEP, UH, TCU, and SMU being left out of a BCS conference? He needs to stick to trying to fix a hole with red tape instead of trying to figure out who plays who in conference play.

With TCU the SEC gets the the largest market available to them Yes DFW is the best market available for the SEC but they would strike that market better with getting tu. Prolly even A&M for that matter. I dont think TCUs fan base can hold their own in DFW.
