Most successful sports cities by decade.
00s: I think has to be Boston off the top of my head
90s: years: Dallas had 4 championships but that wont do it. I think its probably Chicago being carried only by the Bulls six rings. Overall I think New York had 5 with one each from the Giants and Rangers and three from the Yankees.
80s: I think it has to be LA cause of the 5 by the Lakers and 2 by the Dodgers. But the Bay area as a whole could be up there with the Giants and A's and then the Raiders and 49ers. The NY Islander and Edmonton Oilers dominated the NHL during this time like the Celtics and Lakers in the NBA.

Pittsburgh has to be up near the top. Since 1971 they have 11 major sports titles with only 3 teams...and a 12th on the way...

Tell me what decade they would have won though. Its almost to the point where there are definitive cities on top each decade.

You pretty much nailed it in the first post, I can't think of any other cities I would add.

You don't think 4 Supa Boles and 2 World Series rings won the 70s?

Boston probably takes the 60's on the Celtics alone. Did they lose one in the 60's?

You cant answer a question with a question. As you can see my by original post I did not trace back that far.
