Mike, the bats are still mainly made of aluminum alloys. There are some composits out there but most bats are Al.
I actually don't mind the flat bill all that much. At least in baseball the hats have some kind of shape...they aren't completely flat. They have a little bend in them but it's a far cry from what we used to wear.

no, they are incredibly gay.
In my day, if a kid showed up wearing a hat like that it was because he was a dork. Big time. A real ball player knew how to crease a bill.

I spent a lot of time tryin to get a new ball cap the way I wanted it. The more it got worn and sweat stained the better it fit. All the hats now look brand new all year.

uhh, yes it is. Its just the rise on the ball cap is not as high. They both look incredibly stupid.
