The Legacy Broncos are the District 8-4A Champions after a HUGE upset of the heavy, heavy favored (and crosstown rival) Timberview Wolves.
We went in to the District meet picked to finish 3rd or 4th. Timberview rolled in with one of the best ranked track teams in the region and state.
We whipped them in the field events, which was kind of expected. Timberview usually wins all 3 relays by a mile and that is what puts them ahead. We usually struggle in the relays.
Not last night. We beat them in the 4X200, passing them like they were standing still. That turned the whole track meet on its side.
Going in to the mile relay all we had to do was finish 3rd, which we did.
