They'd be stupid to not hire Ruffin. If they hire anyone else, they'll be broke after Leach leatches them for half their endowment. IHCRM is about all they can afford right now...they'll barely even have any money left over to pay their players.

Another thing is that continuity cannot be overstated. The Leach system and the Leach way will still draw skilled recruits that are drawn in by big numbers. So if RM isn't the choice then Briles, Sumlin, or Holgorson. I think those should be the only 4 candidates. Tech may want to look at TCU and see what they did when Fran left.

They aren't even similar. NO ONE runs leach's offense. Nobody. That 28 yr old that ran it the other night doesn't know it near as well as Leach does, and he knows it better than anyone else in the country.
