Just got in the stand where Curly hangs out. He is going down if he pops out. The horizon behind be is starting to get light. I packed a lunch this time and plan on making a day of it.

Well, this trip sucked. I saw about 40 does in two days, but only about 9 bucks. All the bucks were real young. A busted up 12 I've seen before, a 10, two or three 8's, a 6, and two or three spikes. Nothing to write home about. Yesterday, I didn't see anything at all from about 8:30 to 9:30, then a hog popped out. I shot him right in the face. His bottom jaw was knocked off and there were teeth on the ground. Blood everywhere. It was cool. I didn't think I could hit him in the face, so I tried for the hell of it and BAM! Awesome. It made me feel better about not seeing any good bucks. Man, it's coming down to the wire. I may not get a buck this year.
Met Fischer for lunch Sat on his way through town. That night he got a doe and the next day he got a buck. I'll let him give the full report when he gets back today.
My camera F*ed up on me and the batteries ran out the day after I set it two weeks ago, so no pictures. I got it fixed and will be back out there Wednesday afternoon...maybe Thurs morning. Probably won't get to go out Friday. Saturday is my day. I'll let you know how it goes.
