Not really. Would you rather be a team that is a flash in the pan and has 3-5 really good years and sucks for the next 10-15. Or a team that is competitive year in and year out with a bad year here and there but also a championship here and there.

Sorry, but to be competitive year in and year out you have to win some playoff games. The Cowboys have not been competitive since '96.

that's a pretty tough definition of competitive. I'd say if you make the playoffs a majority of the time, you are a competitive team.

How many head coaches would keep their job just making the playoffs in the NFL? To be competitive you have to win in Jan. every now and then.

So if you were an owner or gm you would want to be in the playoff each year instead of hving three rings and a bad stretch?

circles, y'all are going around in them. This Everyone knows where I stand and the Cowboys record the last 13 seasons backs it up. Win a playoff game and then come talk to me.

Tony is maturing right in front of us I think. He is not putting himself in bad situations that end up with a turnover. He is doing what is needed to win games. Only 1 pick in the last 4 games with 9 touchdowns. And most important he won a big game last night in prime time. Hard to be down about the boys now.

Well the way I see it is we need 4 wins to get in. I think next week vs GB will be one and then two vs sqWash and then thanksgiving vs Oakland. And the way we are playing we can mix in another one or two in my opinion. SD I think we should win, NewO is a loss, nyfg depends on what team they are then, and philly again at home who knows. I see something different in this team than the previous couple years. Jenkins is getting better and better every week, Brooking is just a leader and solid player, Sensabaugh is light years better than Sooner Roy, there is a good RB balance and WR/TE balance, and the special teams are at a whole new level.

I will hold off my decision until December.
I remember a team starting 10-1 or so and everyone said they were the best team in the league. Sucked in December and the playoffs.

I think they're making progress. But, last night didn't sell me on Romo. I'm not bashing the boys, but we'll see what happens later on.

I am encouraged by their play. I just don't want to crown them champions yet.
