A+. Frogs clinch a BCS birth. The offense looked like crap but they still scored 35 points. The defense had two INTs for a TD and a safety. Great crowd of almost 41k. We broke the single season attendance record by averaging over 38k a game.
I don't remember much but the day was pretty much one big party. The crowd was into it despite playing UNM. Hopefully we can have that same intensity at every game in the future. The beer started at 9:45 and I can't quite remember when it ended.
I had the coolest moment I've ever experienced in college football and it reminded me why, for all it's faults, the college game is still better than the pro game. Fisch and I had at least 8 down by the time we went into the stadium. At halftime we went in search of more brew. The tent selling beer before the game was being torn down so we decided to walk to the gas station at Berry and University. It was a bit of a hike but well worth it once we got a 6er in our hands. We walked back to the stadium but stopped at Frog Fountain in the Quad to drink a few. We sat on the edge of the fountain looking towards the stadium and talked about how great college football is. The game obviously started again because we could hear the roar of the crowd but we were too busy talking sport, drinking bura, and enjoying the beautiful November day. Where else but college football could you experience such a thing? CFB>NFL.
We got back at the start of the 4th and didn't realize how much time had passed. We snuck some beers in and apparently mine got shaken up in my pants a bit because when I opened it beer sprayed all over a girls back like Peter North in his prime. She had no idea it happened and I felt like an ass...but what can you do? We had a good laugh about it as did some people around us. I was definately the least common denominator in our section.
Fisch's proud poppa pants were going crazy when he saw Trenton Thomas on the sidelines.
After that...the memories are sketchy at best.
Sorry about the neighbors mailbox...
