you can play the if game all you want, Stubbs. That doesn't prove anything. Look, I can do the same thing: If the Ags hadn't have had those 4 turnovers and they would have just tackled that guy a few more times, they would have beaten Arkansas. Bad schtick.

It was just an example.
I have a bad turnover feeling about this game, though. I think that will be our downfall. That and poor defense.

On the surface the Clemson game doesn't look that impressive but that rain was freakin' ridiculous and I don't think Kittie High would have held up under those conditions. hey now, we play with our sprinklers on. thats like rain...

Tulane doesn't have to worry about it.

Houston has a game with MissState left on their schedule. If they win that, they have 2 Big 12 wins plus an SEC win. Those guys are in a really good position.

yeah, and TCU has to rely on the mormon population...which might work, but I don't trust em.

Someone please tell me how OU is a 7 point favorite in Miami? Not saying Miami will win, although I did pick them, but there doesn't seem to be any logic to this.
1) Bradford will not be playing. 2) It's in Miami. 3) Miami got blown out by VaTech but it was in Blacksburg (one of the toughest places to win in the country, esp for Miami) against a then #11 team, now #6. 4) OU lost what was essentially a home game to BYU who got blown out at home by FSU WHO WAS BEATEN BY MIAMI IN TALLEHASSEE, struggled with JACKSONVILLE ST AT HOME, and lost to USF AT HOME.
Doesn't add up to me.

1.) the back up QB is good 2.) Miami has ZERO home field advantage. Take that totally out of the equation. 3.) Miami just got blown out, and looked awful in every aspect of the game. It was ugly. OU lost a month ago and has looked very good since. 4.) There is parody in college football. You can't do the "if a beats b and c beats a then c beats b" thing in college football. Plus, if you did, it would mean that Miami would struggle with USF. USF beat FSU more soundly than Miami did.

Doesn't add up to me. You have made the very common mistake of thinking the odds makers try to set the spread around what they think will happen. They just want to get half the action on one team and the other half on the other team, then they make 10% off the juice. If you look at this game with blinders on, something fans have trouble doing, the spread is right on the money.

Not to mention you left out about 96 other factors that go in to setting the spread for a high profile game like this one. If the kicker has a cold it can move the spread half a point.
