Okay as far as I can tell the Holiday Inn is booked. I found the following, they are right down the St. from HOB, but look nice. What do you think?
Crown Plaze Houston-Downtown 1700 SMITH STREET Houston, TX 77002
Courtyard by Marriot-by the Galleria 2900 Sage Road Houston, TX 77056

the courtyard marriot is over here by my office about 10 - 12 miles away from downtown. might be a bit of a drive after drinking. The crown plaza is a good one. not too far from HOB. That one would probably be your best bet.

Well, that's might neighborly. Except one of my dog's nickname is Jaws (or Asshole if you are the guys on the board). He is actually very sweet, but is afraid of people...he has been known to nibble on people's calves.

Well, that's might neighborly. Except one of my dog's nickname is Jaws (or Asshole if you are the guys on the bored). He is actually very sweet, but is afraid of people...he has been known to nibble on peoples calves. I don't claim to be a veteran dog trainer, but I've got two dogs that could be in the circus. It seems like "Jaws" has over-excitement rather than fear or aggression problems. Nipping is part of a dog's natural play vocabulary, so when Jaws nips, the dog is essentially trying to play. The fact that it does it too MUCH indicates that either it didn't spend enough time with its littermates when it was young (the pups should stay with their mother until they're at least 8 wks. old), or it's not getting enough play time with a lot of different types of dogs now, or you attempted to curb the oral impulses when it was younger. There are a few ways to correct it. Just do a little browsing.

The dog she is referring to left a scar on my hand.
It was more than just a nibble.
That dog hates all people.

Well, with Fischer it was more than a nibble. He did, however grab him and tried to wrestle w/him, which freaked Gordon out. Other than that, he runs up nibbles on the calf when a person isn't looking and runs away. He is deffinitly not playing, but isn't really aggressive either. I know he was abused when he was a pup, so that is the only explanation I have.

Not true at all. He was holed up in a corner and under one of y'alls legs and I reached down to pet him. Never got my hand there, though, because it was being bitten. I should have known that he would feel trapped and cornered, but I wasn't expecting the bastard to bite me that hard.

. I know he was abused when he was a pup, so that is the only explanation I have. That tells me a lot about why he does it. As a dog, your dog will react to situations and after a while or after a traumatic experience, your dog will be conditioned to respond in a certain way in that same situation. That's a nervous response that he displays when he feels threatened into repeating the same thing that happened to him as a pup. He really must have taken a beating as a pup. Poor thing.
