 I just got my daily dose of Happiness in a box! I picked up 4 of these Ruger Factory 25 round mags on sale for 21.99 each. Regularly at 26.99 each. Score. Team Hughes for the Win. My daughter will be super excited now she'll be able to send 25 rounds rapid fire down range rather than 10 at once. Yep, 7 year olds and high capacity magazines.  If you'll notice, we are the only ones at the range who ARE NOT shooting a stupid Bin Laden target. That's only because: 1) We do not blindly hate Muslims because it's all the rage at AIPAC. 2) My child could care less who the CIA Asset known as Bin Laden is or what he looks like. She's just there to shoot and not there to contribute to his unlicensed target suppliers. 3) CIA Assets should not have their own targets. If anything, they should be shooting us, not the other way around. God Bless America! |

A family that shoots together... Latest from the weekend range trip.   9 bucks a magazine to shoot mine. .75 a magazine to shoot hers. I think she's winning. She still can't even hold a candle to her Pops though, but she's getting there. |

I bet she can out shoot most grown men. She doesn't drop many Coach, I can tell you that. When she's dropping rounds it's because she's tired so I let her take a break and go get some candy and be a little girl again for a few minutes. Then she's back to normal. My theory is this... By the time she's dateable (which will be 17 btw), she will be able to outshoot I'd say at least 95% of the little hammerheads who chase her. That right there will weed out a shitpot full of losers and scumbags because they'll know she's on an entirely different level. This will help keep my blood pressure down and me out of trouble. |

I did another free float, trigger job, and 6 position stock installation lastnight on a 16" DPMS.  His is substantially smaller than the battle rifle I built and for sure about 3 lbs lighter.  I've become the friend all my friends rely on for upgrades and builds. For doing the work I did lastnight, a gunsmith would charge you about $65 an hour. This was a 2.5 hour job. I was teaching though as I was building, so it took a little longer. For the work I did I got a box of parts that added up to 140 bucks, so I think I came out okay. |
