their bats will eventually come around, I am just afraid the pitching will eventually falter, as well.

I've been thinking that, but it's been a couple of months now and they still aren't hitting for crap. Hamilton hasn't hit since before the All Star game LAST year.

I must say it's pretty impressive what Nolan has done with the pitching staff. He may be starting a new trend in baseball if their success on the mound continues.

I heard on a radio interview with a former coach that the entire team plays homerun derby for batting practice every day. No opposite field shots, line drives or situations, just swing for the fences to see who can hit the most out. Apparently this is encouraged.
I think we've found where the problem lies. Get rid of Rudy now. No control over the approach these guys are taking.

We're in the home stretch. Do you think this pitching will finally come back down to earth and wear down?

I think Millwood is done. He's a 5 inning pitcher the rest of the way. It's all up to Holland, Hunter and Feldman.

It's gonna be tough to make it the rest of the way with a 3rd-4th in the rotation guy and two rookies.

Close call last night against the Yanks. Like I said, Millwood is done.

It was a win that will boost the rangers moral and fight. I think the fact they made it close and pulled it off will help them in the final stretch.

I disagree.
Blowing big leads is never a good sign. No matter the final outcome. I am glad they won, but this was not a positive thing.

Agree with Fischer.
The supposed closer was shelled. It took a fluke pop-up bunt and unassisted DP to pull out the win.
Holland better be on tonight. Wash had to burn Feliz and Frankie in order to bail out Millwood.
