Well, the 'won't last long' was a little off.
It's been a month in 1st, but I sense the damn wheels falling off. Hamilton out, Harrison and McCarthy out. Dumbass suicide squeeze bunt call with a man on third, one out and down by 1.

You know at first I wasn't too upset about the call, I like to put pressure on the defense. But looking back...it may not have been the best move.

I love the squeeze play. I didn't mind the call. If it worked it's a great call. Since it didn't it was bad. Elvis has been hitting really well but you still expect pitchers to go after him-especially with 5 on deck. The pitch was about a foot outside. Wash expected him to get a good pitch to hit. If it were with Kinsler at the plate it's a terrible call. That was about as good a spot as any to use it. Elvis is a good bunter w/ speed. Marlon has decent speed. Just didn't work out but I like the fact that they're being aggressive rather than waiting on the big hit.
The injuries worry me too but Tor is a really good team and they almost came back on them. It's just one game. Let's let the series play out before making knee-jerk reactions. We'll soon see what this team is made of.
