Damn when did fences get so expensive?! Or maybe I'm just ignorant and never knew any better but I thought they'd be cheaper than that. You could buy a pretty decent little fishing boat with that money.

well when you're in hurricane alley, prices skyrocket because people like to ass rape you on lumber. my mom and dad drove to san marcos (300 miles out of the way) to get lumber to do their fence. that should tell ya something...

yep. sure is. people are still too busy worrying about katrina victims and other crap to worry with the price gouging problem though.

We are going with decorative design. I've got a neighbor who has done nothing but throw his fancy cars and wheels in my face since we moved there. This will leave him scratching his head for a while... Trump Card bitch! Standard treated pickets with double 2x6 for the "weed eater wall" making it a total of 7 ft high. There will be Republic of Texas Stars framed in the fence on both sides of the house facing the street. We are also putting trim on top of the pickets. Yeah I know what you are thinking... Bad ass shit. I'll post pics this weekend. It's being built as I sit here.
