In my opinion... I thought that everytime a Trojan meets a Beaver, both parties win...

Deal. This is a tough game to guage. This will be the first tough game for both teams. TCU has the #1 defense in the nation-but they haven't played anyone. OU has a great offense-but they haven't played anyone either. I think the key matchup will be the OU wideouts and the TCU DBs. TCU needs to be disciplined enough not to go for the big hit (that they have a tendancy to do-like Miami last week against A&M) and just wrap the ball carrier up. Special teams may do TCU in as well. Bad punting and three KOs out of bounds so far. I see it going like the TU game did for 3 quarters last year. This is a much improved Frog team so hopefully they can deliver the knockout punch that they failed to do last year.

This will not be the first tough game for both teams. It will be the first tough game for tcu. OU's first tough game is in a couple of weeks.
Don't speak of those two schools in the same breath as far as that is concerned.
Another thing. tcu doesn't have the best defense in the country, no matter what the statistics say. They aren't even in the top 20. They are a mid major team who has played all patsies.

Stubbs talks about this game like it'll be close. OU by 30...at least.

Here's the difference between a North Texas fan/alum. and a TCU t-shirt fan/wanna be alum/and those alums who the t-shirters and wannabes pretend to be...
North Texas: We accept that we suck, and will for some time. However, we do not pretend to be in the same class as those better than us, and don't blame our shortcomings/losses on others.
TCU: As priveledged as we've been our entire lives, we can't accept the fact that we are not the best, no one cares about us, and why don't we get the handouts from the officials. The only reason we lose is because the refs sucked or the playcalling was ridiculous. Give us the respect that is owed, whether earned or not. Daddy said so.

I have no idea how this game will go. I'd like to think that TCU has a chance. By all accounts OU should win but by how much is yet to be determined. No one really knows about either team and with so much parity in college football these days.

Being that I paid more at TCU for one year than I did in two years at NTSU, I think I have a dog in the fight and have a right to be more than just a t-shirt fan. I never said that we're the best and no one has ever refused to accept that TCU is not the best. I don't know where you get that crap from. That's crap that TU fans spout out. For the most part, we know our place and know our role. Is it fair? No, it's not. The BCS is a socialist program that tries to keep the poor down while continuously filling the pockets of the rich. That's why I laugh when Ole Miss was crying that they spent 5 million on the debate...who freaking cares? Give me a break-you're a state school (a socialist program) who gets BSC money (double socialization). What does it matter? You don't care about stealing tax payer's dollars? Was the 5M even spent wisely or efficiently? Probably not. The refs haven't cost us a game-though they tried. Losing by horrible play-calling is your own damn fault. There's no one to blame outside of the team.

This is a tough one because I havn't had a chance to watch either team yet this year. My gut says take OU give the points, but TCU has played them hard in the past and will not be scared of OU. I say take OU but I am going to keep my money out of this one.

Smart man JC. Like I said, it's a really tough game to predict. I can think of a million different ways the game will go.
You bring up an excellent point about not being scared. TCU will be up for this and there will be no butterflies.

I don't think TCU will be scared, they have played before a hostile crowd (TU last year) before, that being said OU is a tougher place to play than Austin. Could be a factor.
