All week Baylor refused to call their opponent by their actual name. They called them Northwestern instead of Northwestern State. I guess they were trying to make it look like they actually had a significant win.
It's hard to argue against success.

I'm not here to compare the merrits of NWSU, SFA, and TSU. I don't know, nor do I care. Anyone who does is either a football elitist, a nerd, or quite possibly both. My point was that on several occassions I saw them mention their opponent as just Northwestern. My first reaction was that it was great they got a home game against a Big 10 team. Then I saw that it was Coonass U and not the prestegious suburban Chicago school. It was misleading-that's all I was saying. SMU didn't go around saying they beat Texas last Saturday. They beat Texas State. Call a spade a spade...that's all. SFA, TSU, NWSU-they're all the same. SMU struggled against a team they should have blown out. TCU and Baylor did exactly what they should have. Good win for Baylor b/c they don't and won't come very often.

To even notice such a thing suggests the greatest amount of envy you could possibly imagine.
who cares what they called their opponent? I'll bet you that everyone in Louisiana calls them Northwestern, too.

What would I be envious of? Did Briles ever get the #1 RB recruit in the nation to change his recruiting trip from Miami to TCU? miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/

The link says he postponed his trip to Miami until December. He is visiting TCU this weekend. It's not like TCU had anything to do with this decision.
