that would be worth attending.
Although its not going to be anything like Olsen Field...which has been voted the greatest College Baseball Venue by Sports Illustrated College Edition

Yeah, I wish NT State had a team. Guess I'll try to latch on to TCU. They do...I played for them. ;D

Hell yeah. baseball. Rangers are off to a great start, only 1 game out of first. Millwood goes for six. Young hits a homer. World series baby.

Rangers are losing...summer is in the air.
I played for UNT's club team. We were badass. We had a few guys that played in the minors. There were all kinds of teams-some good, some bad. UT and A&M had tough teams. UT was our biggest rival. Those big schools were mostly made up of guys that could have played D-1 at smaller schools but tried to walk on to the big state schools. UT had one guy that I remember from high school. He had a scolly but apparently lost it and didn't try to land somewhere else. But some of these teams were a joke. The semester after I left they went and played in the club baseball World Series. It's not the big time but I'd say it was just as good as D-2 ball, if not better.

So, if the pitch got above 6 feet off of the ground, was it an automatic ball?
Did you play rover?

We actually had a guy that was extremely ADD and he would lose concentration on the mound and threw an Ephus pitch on accident. It actually floated right in for a strike but the ump said the pitch was too high and ruled it an automatic ball. Some of these guys were real bush-league and probably did slow-pitch 5 nights a week.

I looked into that club when I was there, and they were a joke.

I heard they went downhill after all of us graduated. We actually had another guy that was signed by the Cardinals after he went to a try-out. I don't think he lasted a full season in rookie ball but still pretty cool.

Meanwhile, in other league action, John Danks took a no-hitter through the sixth yesterday.
