I have just about seen enough.
Coach-your thoughts?

he can't cover a lick...but he is the best run defender at his position in the league.
Maybe you could put in a coverage guy in obvious passing situations. I don't know.

Maybe he should go through tackling school. I think the same people that do SAT prep courses are having some classes next week.

I think he is overrated as a tackler also. Did you see Shockey step in his chest? He ran over him.

And he got credited for a tackle...He's a horrible tackler. He always tries to stand guys up and it rarely works.

yeah rarely...
just goes to the pro bowl every year and is regarded as the best safety in the NFL. He sucks.
Once again showing your football expertise there stubbs. By the way, EVERYONE gets run over every now and then. If the guy is down after you touched him last, you get credit for the tackle. They don't discount it because you got run over. Of course, you probably think they should.

I never said he shouldn't. I know the rules of the game dumbass. I was just remarking that it was a cheap tackle in the stat column. As far as Pro Bowl, that thing is a joke anyway. There are 10 guys every year that make it that have no business being there...Regarded as the best by whom? Everyone here seems to think he sucks. You said it yourself, he can't cover a lick. So how is he the best safety in the league?

Best safety in the league?
I'll take Ed Reed for $100, Alex.

Roy Williams is NOT an all-around playmaker at Safety. He's a damn good SS when playing run-support (more like an additional linebacker), but his cover skills are suspect at best and at FS he's only pedestrian.
Give me Troy Polamalu.

If I am building a team, I want a safety who will bring the hat and can play down low. You win in the NFL by being able to run the ball and stop the run.
However, like i said earlier, maybe they need to personel some things differently, but I am going to trust that, being multi millionaire coaches, the Cowboys staff has done the best they can with what they have. Maybe they need to hire stubbs to set them straight.
And by the way, mentioning that he has a cheap tackle in the stat column is retarded. When he knocks the hell out of someone it only counts as one tackle...it evens itself out.

Sully is pretty much on par with his assessment.

I do enjoy the highlight-reel hits and big time run stop plays he makes.

So do you want to recant your statement about being the best safety in the league? How can the best safety in the league be a liability in passing situations?

Maybe the best SS in the league.
I would still love to have him on my team.

Yeah, he'd kill against Lamar this week. I'd want him to secure a 16-4A championship too.
