Agreed. About the time Fox made a spectacle of it was when it got boring. Is it just me or has Fox and ESPN ruined baseball?

I actually enjoy watching all of the player coming from different teams join together and play as on. Epecially Yanks and Sox, Chris Young and Derek Lee, and so forth.

Sportscenter shoves those teams down my throat everyday so I could care less.

No interest this year. The best part was the intro about willie mays. I'm more interested in the history of the game now, I think.

I wish they would have showed the footage of when Willie was in spring training and he overslept. The other guys carry his bed outside...oh man...this is funny...and Willie finally wakes up, rolls out of bed...hahaha...and beats everyone in the sprints. Has to be one of the greatest baseball feats of all time.

I wouldn't be suprised if they had Dontrell in the starting rotation.
1. The guys didn't wear sliding shorts or compression pants back then. 2. They did not wear pants just below the knee in the 70s and they didn't have the high stirrup. They all wore the Will Clark. 3. They didn't have the fancy trashbag sweat tops. They actually wore trashbags. 4. I think Reggie wore Pumas back then. I don't know what he was wearing in this show. 5. Reggie was not full hispanic like the actor that plays him. His middle name is Martinez but he is mullato.
I'll watch it again and find several more.

He was wearing Pumas but a few more observations:
1. There was a black umpire in the '76 Series. I don't believe there was one. Emmitt Ashford was the first black umpire to be in a Series game but he wasn't there that year.
2. The radio announcer called the umpire Bruce "Froming" rather than Froemming.
3. The guys on the field have modern fielding gloves. Now, they didn't use the 3 finger gloves of Mel Ott, Honus Wagner, and 3 Finger Brown, but you can tell a difference in the make of gloves between then and now.
4. Mickey Rivers was wearing Franklin batting gloves. Franklin did not start making batting gloves until the early 1980s.
5. Reggie was wearing a modern royal blue Louisville Slugger batting glove. I remember having baseball cards of Reggie wearing Saranac and Rawlings gloves but no LV slugger...esp a royal blue one. I will give them credit for only having him wear one on the right hand. I never recall Reggie wearing two.

Well you have to understand that this is Espin and not Speilberg making this movie.

I would expect Stevo to make mistakes like that. Espin has no excuse.
