sorry Coach, Nolan Ryan was a hired gun. He is an Astro not a Ranger. No matter where Pudge plays, he will always be a Texas Ranger.

Look what cap Nolan has on in the HALL OF FAME
Nolan was/is a Ranger.
Conversely, I wouldn't be surprised if Pudge snubs the Rangers in his Hall of Fame induction just to spite them.

Its not his decision. The HOF makes that decision for players now. Do you really think Gary Carter wanted to go in as an Expo? I'll always remember him as an Amazin' Met. I want his hair.

Nolan had a decision, that might be why they made the rule, cause Nolan had his best years with the angels

No, they just started it a couple years ago. If I'm not mistaken, Nolan's was in '98 along with Brett and Yount (WELLLLL).

Nolan was compensated EXTREMELY well by the Rangers in order to have that hat on his HoF plaque.
Like I said...hired gun. Nothing wrong with that.

He had a 10 year personal services contract after his retirement. It included his being inducted as a Ranger. As soon as it was up, he sold out for another 10 years to the Astros. I predict in November 2013 he will sell out to the Charlotte Devil Rays.

Well, Nolan was still the greatest Ranger of all time...no matter if he was a hired gun or not.
Don't forget my friends, Great is not a word you can use for very many Rangers.
