My oh my how wrong I was about the Rangers. They can't hit. They can't field. They can't pitch. At least they can steal bases...that is if they can get on base and not manage to get picked off while scratching their asses. I know its only 16 games but geez they are awful!
BTW, Oak did a shitty thing last night...In the 9th, they were up 16-4, Tex was up to the plate and they put the freaking shift on him! WTF?! You're up 12 runs in the 9th! That's like holding a runner on. The secondbaseman ends up fielding the ball in medium depth right field and throws him out. That's just sorry.

That is baseball.
I would shift too.

When you're up 12 runs? You better get ready for one in the earhole in your next AB. That's like blitzing when you're up 4 TDs in the last 2 minutes.

Tex should learn to hit to left. I would say go the other way, but that would be misunderstood by some on this board.

That is nothing like blitzing.
Its a fundamental part of the game. You don't ever veer from fundamentals.

Who died and made you Steve Spurrier?
Anyway, the Red Shoes battled it out on Sat and today to win the series. They still have a long way to go but it was refreshing to see them do the little things right like Kenny lead off with a bunt single and steal two bases and Hank had an SB and came through with RISP down 3-2. Gagne's thing looked like a hammy or lower back-hopefully it isn't arm related. He was gassing it the other night. Cam looked strong on Satuday and CJ was bringing the heat. He made Chavez look like me on a Tuesday night. They still need to get the bats going. To play this bad and still be hovering around .500 means that there is some heart and talent to this team. Hopefully they can get it together and have a strong May going into the Dog Days.

I guess you're back up now after that rant on Sat.? I'm sticking with them. Once we get the bats going, we'll be alright. We need to keep Cam Loe in the rotation, and send that spare ass McCarthy back to Chi.

Anyone see the Yankees/Red Sox game last night? The starter for NY was from Iowa Park, TX. We played him in high school, he's a year younger than me and starting for the freaking Yankees. The kid was a stud, but he's a rookie, and got shelled for 4 straight homers in the 3rd last night.

Yeah, that was funny. The series win was good but I'm not sold they can put it together. They have all the parts they need but we will see if they can put it all together.

Its just not right that Young is under .200 and Tex and Hank dont have any HRs yet.

And only one everyday player batting over .275......geeze. Laird is about to dip under a bill.
