Then why do you like Jeff Gordon? He is the same thing to Nascar.

He was at one point but that was because all the old guys were dying off and NASCAR did a bad job of replacing the legends. Now don't get me wrong, I think Gordon is one of the best drivers of all time, but in the 90s, it was like Tiger Woods playing on the Senior Tour. Now, NASCAR has more talent than probably ever, and he's not dominating the way he once was-but that is no reflection on his talent. If he wins a title in this Chase format, it will solidify his status as one of the top 3 drivers of all time. This format is much harder and involves a little more luck than before.
Tiger doesn't really have an equal that has stayed the course. There was Love III, Duval, Els, Singh, Mickelson, Goosen, and a host of others that have tried but failed to keep up with him. He's just way too dominating and I don't see anyone who will be able to match his talent until he's at least in his 40s. Tiger is in a world of his own. There's no one who has been more dominating to his sprot than him.
As much as I hated to see Gordon come in second a couple weeks ago, it sure made for good TV.

that is weird...
The Jeff Gordon thing is a double standard. He is the Tiger Woods of his sport. You could make the age argument about the PGA, too. Love III, Lehman, Duvall. Where are they now? Now its a bunch of young uns coming up to compete.

But it seems like none of them can be consistent.

I like to see Tiger dominate the field. It's good entertainment. The dude is unbelievable still. As much as he struggled this past week, he got himself right in the thick of things come Sunday.

The only thing I don't like about Tiger is who runs out to the golf course now trying to be Tiger.

That doesn't make sense. I loved it when he blamed his caddy on 17. He's the Matt Kenseth of golf...always looking for someone else to blame.

I had a 56 on Gameboy Golf. Did you have to keep resetting when you hit a bad shot or were you just that good?
