They are doing that just to give him more innings. Its not injury related.

We're fine. That's why we kept Aki.

There is a reason they got him on the cheap.

Anybody would have gotten him on the cheap. He's a risk but honestly, they aren't paying him a shit-ton of money and I think the deal is only one year. Why not take a chance?

All he does is provide false hope for the weak minded Ranger fan. Same as Sammy Sosa. Just an attempt to put fans in the seats. The Rangers are more like a traveling circus than a major baseball club.
STEP RIGHT UP!!!
Come see the Rangers...we have the oldest CF in baseball...the disgraced home run champ...and a fireball pitcher that hasn't picked up a baseball in two years!!!
Please...move these guys to Fair Park for the State Fair.

None of those guys give me any hope. CL is still solid at 40 but I'm just counting on him to do his job. I'm not expecting .315 and 40 SBs. If Sosa can stay healthy and be serviceable, that will be a plus. If Gagne can give us 40 appearance, that will be a bonus. My hope is in Hank turning it around, Tex getting his head out of his butt, and MY being MY.

Hank is a headcase, forget about him now that players are being tested for steriods. Tex may have a good year since this is his contract year. MY will be MY.
BUT as usual the pitching is more than suspect.
That being said, the Rangers are a good outing on a summer night; kind of like catching fireflies or BBQing.

Look for Hank to have a good year. I think Wash is getting through to him in a way that Buck couldn't. Wash, I think, is the biggest piece of the puzzle.

Washington is the Houston Nutt of Major League baseball. Another result of buying on the cheap.
Major Failed Bit Warning with that guy.
