I got the athletics award in 8th grade...all the high school awards went to a couple kids whose dads owned a landscaping bidness and installed the sprinkler system.

Reminds me of the time in Little League when I got picked after a kid whose Dad owned a shoestore. Coincedently, the shoe store provided shoes for the team...hmmm?

I didd receive the sportsmanship award when I was in around 5th or 6th grade in the MLK basketball league.

Sometimes. but usually we took ol Colorado over by the jail and hit up Martin that way. South East Denton was where it was at.

That definately earns you some cred. I onse had to get out of the truck on Morse Street. That, along with my birthday being on Juneteenth earns me a free pass for a decade.

How about me taking Taking Jarvis Moss home ....two white guys in the front seats of my jeep and a 6'6'' black guy chillin in the back with the top down riding through SED as he gives mee directions.

I had to go to Morse Street Baptist Church for something. Not even God is safe in the hood.
Thankfully, my only interactions with Jarvis were at the WASP Baptist Church.
